An inspiration by Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House founder Tom Goodchild, “Tom Goodchild’s Moose Factory” was created in 1996 undergoing a twelve thousand square foot renovation in 2000 making it one of Canada’s largest food and beverage operations with a seating capacity over 700 guests. Under the corporate umbrella of The Sawmill Restaurant Group, this singular branded operation joined the corporate banner as The Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House, Calgary Trail, in January 2019.

One of the greatest things is the sheer size and magnitude of this establishment. The Sawmill Restaurant Group have created a unique destination restaurant that combines easy access and parking in a pleasing South Edmonton location with wholesome cuisine.  Featuring five private dining and meeting rooms, a 280 seat main dining room and 180 seat outdoor patio, they can provide customized seating and meal plans for any imaginable event. A fresh prepared rotating daily luncheon buffet is equally featured Monday through Friday.

One of the larger patios in the city spanning over 3,000 square feet! Situated on the North side of the building the sun shines all day long on 150 available seats. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings behind 10 foot tall glass walls including fire tables, rock bubblers, and private cabanas; the perfect setting to relax and enjoy a crisp glass of wine or House Made Cocktail. Celebrate with a large group under multiple Schwank patio heaters or enjoy an intimate dining experience behind the drapes of one of a half dozen cabanas.
